A traditional Jewish wedding for Joanne and Gerald, a couple of New York who chose Italy to celebrate their wedding. The couple stayed at Villa Passalacqua, a luxurious villa on Como Lake where there were the ceremony and the party. The rite of Jewish wedding remembers the past, and it is rich of symbolic moments. Each man present at the ceremony wore the Kippah, the traditional male headdress. Before the ceremony the groom with the witnesses and the parents went into a room to sign the Ketubah, the wedding contract in the presence of a rabbi. The ceremony was held in a room of the villa and under the Chuppah decorated with flowers, Gerald waited for the arrival of the bride. In this suggestive setting Joanne has made her entrance accompanied by his parents, initiating the ceremony. Under the chuppah, the canopy that represents the future home of the couple, the rabbi has given his blessing by declaring them husband and wife. Each moment of this ceremony has created an atmosphere full of emotional impact that involved the guests who participated.
There can be no Jewish wedding without the traditional dance that involves all the guests and the bride and groom. In fact, during the party full of dance, the bride and groom were raised aloft by friends and family, each one in his chair as is customary in the Jewish party. It was a triumph of joy.
Each detail of this wedding was in perfect harmony with the simple but elegant style to leave everyone amazed. © R.R.
